The Forklift Driver Competition is a high-energy, skills-based event that celebrates the expertise, precision and professionalism of forklift drivers across South Africa. Designed to recognise the vital role operators play in warehouses, logistics and industrial environments, the competition places safety, skill and control at the forefront.

Open to anyone with a valid forklift driver’s licence, the competition provides drivers with the opportunity to test their abilities in a structured, competitive environment while showcasing best-practice safety standards. On the day, participants are required to present their valid licence, successfully complete a breathalyser test, conduct all mandatory pre-inspection checks, and navigate a challenging obstacle course.

The course simulates real-world operating conditions, requiring drivers to manoeuvre forklifts through tight spaces between racking and shelving, accurately remove and replace pallets, and maintain full compliance with safety protocols throughout.
