Terms & Conditions
of Entry

By entering the Forklift Driver Competition, all participants agree to the following terms and conditions:

 

Eligibility

  • You must have a valid forklift driver’s licence to enter.

  • Your licence must be presented on the day of the competition.

  • No licence = no participation.

Sobriety & Fitness to Compete

  • All participants must be sober-minded.

  • A breathalyser test will be done before competing.

  • Any driver who fails the test will not be allowed to compete.

  • Drivers must be physically fit and able to operate a forklift safely.

 

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • Full PPE must be worn at all times during the competition.

  • This includes, but is not limited to:

    • Safety shoes

    • High-visibility vest or clothing

    • Hard hat 

  • No PPE = no participation.

 

Safety Rules

  • Safety rules must be followed at all times.

  • Unsafe behaviour, speeding, reckless driving or ignoring instructions will result in immediate disqualification.

  • Judges’ and marshals’ instructions must be followed at all times.

 

Forklift Inspection

  • Each driver must complete all required pre-use inspections before starting.

  • Failure to complete inspections correctly may result in penalties or disqualification.

 

Competition Course

  • Drivers must complete the obstacle course as instructed.

  • Tasks include manoeuvring in tight spaces and removing and replacing pallets safely.

  • Points are awarded for skill, accuracy and safety, not speed alone.

 

Disqualification

A participant may be disqualified if they:

  • Do not meet entry requirements

  • Fail the breathalyser test

  • Do not wear PPE

  • Drive unsafely or damage equipment

  • Ignore competition rules or instructions

 

Prizes

  • Cash prizes will be awarded to top performers.

  • Judges’ decisions are final and no disputes will be entered into.

 

Liability

  • Participation is at your own risk.

  • The organisers are not responsible for injury, loss or damage caused by failure to follow rules or safety instructions.

 

Right to Refuse Entry

  • The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any participant who does not comply with these terms.
